  • System strategies

PROMAK PORTFOLIO helps to manage a large number of portfolios allocated to given strategies. The strategies may be grouped into any hierarchical structure, which can then be used to generate orders for portfolios contained therein. The possibility to combine any instruments into one synthetic instrument facilitates a collective analysis of contents of the portfolios, and having IT functions users receive comprehensive information about portfolios and strategies had.

  • Generating orders

The system has an enhanced module for simultaneous automated mass generation of orders for several portfolios in a given strategy. Users can designate the purpose of order execution (adjustment of the share of assets in portfolios to the model level, increase in exposure by a preset percentage value), generate orders for synthetic instruments, use loans for purchase of securities and make decisions about the manner of aggregating orders (post-auction trading, single orders, aggregating orders in synthetic orders).

  • Exposure limits

In addition to recording, analytical and reporting functions, the system also offers control options. With exposure limits defined for portfolios, customers, operating strategies and global levels (all portfolios in the system), the system provides for control of the management process compliance with legal or internal investment policy requirements, carried out automatically during mass generation and recording of single orders (the pre-trade stage) or at any time at the user’s request (the middle-day post-trade and end-day post-trade stages).

  • Management fees

For the purposes of customer service, there is an option of defining various ways of calculating fees for asset management (both fees on assets value and fees for effectiveness). The methods offered by the system help calculate e.g. fees in advance or in arrears, define any settlement periods, minimum fees, consult return on portfolio and include the selected ratios (such as inflation rate, WIG index). The system also provides for deferment of collection of a portion of the fee, annulment of whole or part thereof, and service of applicable VAT.

The functions supporting management effectiveness assessment help compare return on managed portfolios against return on a series of benchmarks such as inflation rate, market indices, fund participation units, currencies, securities quotations, term deposit interest etc. Users can also define specific benchmarks calculated by the system, based on standard benchmarks or other calculated ones.

Management profitability may be set by conversion to unit of managed assets or portfolio index.

  • Information functions

The system helps value portfolios according to the market method, accrual method and purchase price by setting the value of securities according to FIFO, LIFO, weighted average or HIFO.

In addition to continuous statements, the system has a well enhanced reporting module — the number of reports exceeds 400.

Moreover, users can define and attach their own reports to the system both by modification of standard reports and creation of new ones. Thus users are not restricted by number, form and content of the reports.

The system enables generating reports in any form: as a file, text, html or MS Office application.
